Yelp Leads

Hey guys,

As you can see in Agenda, I’ve added Yelp so that we can communicate directly with customers through the platform.

A few key points:

  1. Control & Access
You’ll see there’s a lot of control available in Yelp. Please don’t make changes unless directed.

  2. Point Person
Since Sydney has shown interest in social media/SEO and also has price book knowledge, he’ll be the primary person managing Yelp.
If he’s unavailable or misses something, I expect the rest of the team to step in and support.

  3. Why This Matters
We’re currently paying $3K/month to Yelp, and I’m working hard to improve our rating.

    • We’ve already improved from 1.7/5 to 2.1/5.

    • Yelp reviews are more likely to stick if they come from leads generated through Yelp.

    • We cannot afford to waste these opportunities.

  4. Handling Yelp Bookings

    • Always make it crystal clear to the plumber that this is a Yelp client.

    • Plumbers must apply a $50 discount and explain to the customer that it’s because they booked through Yelp.

    • Ensure Yelp customers are given great pricing—no “shark” pricing on these jobs.

  5. Review Requests
Plumbers should specifically ask for Yelp reviews:

“We have a system that will ask for a Google review, but since you’re a Yelp user, it would mean a lot if you left your review on Yelp instead.”

This is a big investment and an important part of our reputation management. Let’s make sure every Yelp lead is handled carefully.

Thank you.
