Yelp Leads

As you can see in Agenda, I’ve added Yelp so that we can communicate directly with customers through the platform.
A few key points:
Control & Access
You’ll see there’s a lot of control available in Yelp. Please don’t make changes unless directed.Point Person
Since Sydney has shown interest in social media/SEO and also has price book knowledge, he’ll be the primary person managing Yelp.
If he’s unavailable or misses something, I expect the rest of the team to step in and support.Why This Matters
We’re currently paying $3K/month to Yelp, and I’m working hard to improve our rating.We’ve already improved from 1.7/5 to 2.1/5.
Yelp reviews are more likely to stick if they come from leads generated through Yelp.
We cannot afford to waste these opportunities.
Handling Yelp Bookings
Always make it crystal clear to the plumber that this is a Yelp client.
Plumbers must apply a $50 discount and explain to the customer that it’s because they booked through Yelp.
Ensure Yelp customers are given great pricing—no “shark” pricing on these jobs.
Review Requests
Plumbers should specifically ask for Yelp reviews:“We have a system that will ask for a Google review, but since you’re a Yelp user, it would mean a lot if you left your review on Yelp instead.”
This is a big investment and an important part of our reputation management. Let’s make sure every Yelp lead is handled carefully.
